Darius, is my representation of child who harbors the eyes/soul of an old man. Despite his young appearance, experience and wisdom rest behind his deep everlasting gaze. Just a kid who witnessed the harsh underbelly of our world/society while learning his "A-B-Cs". He reminds me of what I imagine my father must have been like as a 5 year old - a skeptic optimist, always watching, searching for the true intentions of those he comes across through their actions, rarely their words. This is one of the first pieces I did when I became more serious about my artistic expression and the message I want to display to the world. This piece is on card-stock using pen, marker and stippling/pointillism techniques to bring the images to life.

With this piece, I wanted to demonstrate the imposing nature of a soldier in the imperial army. How their appearance, which exudes strength and confidence, coupled with the promise of a future filled with possibilities and experiences only possible in dreams can inspire almost anyone with little to no other options to follow their apparent "destiny". Be all you can be for your galactic empire. Leaving the war, killing and the possibility of sudden death aside, being a soldier in the imperial army looks pretty bad-ass. I am a huge fan of the story that took place, "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..." and my parents actually saw "The Empire Strikes Back" on their first date, so the series is partly responsible for my existence and influences much of my work. This piece is on canvas using spray paint, oil paint based paint-markers and stippling/pointillism techniques to bring the images to life.

Heru is one of the oldest gods of Ancient Egypt, known as the sky god. the Hawk is a beautiful creature that has obviously captivated the hearts and minds of people the world over, and has played a central role in the religion of one our most ancient civilizations. I have always been fascinated with this image and wanted to make my own version of the ancient figure with some new age graffiti. This piece is on canvas using spray paint, oil paint based paint-markers and stippling/pointillism techniques to bring the images to life.

The original piece is ink and oil based paint marker on fine art paper. This is my first picture and has inspired me to keep drawing and painting as much as I can. My Dad asked me to draw this for him and encouraged me to always stay in-tune with my God-given creative abilities.
